I have seen a lot of Montréal this year. I have walked from Mont Royal to St. Henri, from the jardin botanique to Jean-Talon market, from Mile End to Old Montreal … for early morning coffee, for an afternoon pint on a terrasse, for an evening of good food and good wine, for galleries and performances and festivals, for a night on the dance floor. As some places and faces have begun to become familiar, Montréal once again is home. I will share some of my favourites here as a way to celebrate them and as a way to get to know the city and the vibrant communities of people that make Montréal what it is. A reconnaissance (of the city) and renaissance (for me)!
